Sega Genesis Motherboard Replacement

Steps:

1. Remove the six screws from the underside of the console with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

2. Flip the Sega Genesis upright.

3. Gently lift the top casing.
4. Note: the case will be connected to the main board by LED wires.

5. Bend out the LED leads into vertical positions.

6. Slide the LED wire apparatus off the lead pins.
7. Note: observe which color wire corresponds with which length of pin.

8. Separate the main board from the outer case.

9. Remove single black screw from the outside of the bottom cover, using a Philips screwdriver.

10. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove 11 screws securing silver casing.

11. Remove silver case.

12. Remove single golden screw on motherboard using Philips screwdriver.
13. Note: Push headphone jack to the side.

14. Remove two black screws on the left and right sides of the cartridge slot.

15. Remove motherboard.

16. Re-install new motherboard.
