Disassembling Nokia 3100b Speaker

Steps:

1. Make sure your phone is turned off.

2. Press the button on the back of the phone and slide the back panel off.
3. Remove the battery by pulling it from the phone.

4. Gently pull back the small metal frame holding the SIM card into place, and lift open the frame.

5. Retrieve your SIM card.

6. Separate the front cover from the main body of the phone.

7. Remove the six screws along the edges of the phone.

8. Pull the screen assembly from the base of the phone.

9. Carefully lift the keypad portion of the screen assembly from the circuit board.

10. Separate the screen from the circuit board.
11. Reconnect the ports during reassembly or the screen will not function properly.
12. Remember to reconnect the screen to the circuit board when reassembling!

13. Gently push down on the screen to pop it off of the assembly.

14. When the screen falls out the assembly, two white tabs will fall out with it.
15. When reinstalling the screen, insert the tabs with the slanted side pointing upwards so they slide into the assembly.

16. Set the screen and the tabs aside.

17. You can now access the speaker.
18. Note the tab on the end of the speaker. It must be placed in correctly in order to reinstall the speaker.

19. Remove the speaker from the assembly.
